The Dome

Generations of Doncastrians have experienced many of the great things offered by The Dome. When it opened back in 1989 it was the largest leisure centre in Europe and it was the first place in the UK with a split level ice rink! The iconic architecture of The Dome was recognised in 2023 when it was awarded Grade II status. It’s been around for over 35 years and is still welcoming around a million visitors every year!
