Is there anything I need to bring? - For all accredited course, learners with Doncaster post code only need to pay accreditation costs which is: 25 GBP for unemployed and 40 GBP for employed. For all other learners (residing out of Doncaster), please contact us to discuss costs.
- Do I need to have an interview before I can enrol? - If you haven't done anything with us before (i.e. any of the workshops) we need to meet you personallly. It's not really an interview, but more of 'meeting up'. You would also need to complete an Expression of Interest Form and we also need to go through an induction with you, so we need to see you before you can start the course.
- What feedback will I get? - You will receive regular feedback from your tutor throughout the course, as and when appropriate. At the end of the session, you and your tutor will discuss the possible progression. Your aims and goals and progression will also be recorded in your Individual Learner Portfolio (ILP).
- How will I be able to give my views on the course? - At the end of every session in the course, you will be asked to do an evaluation activity. Please make sure you do this activity. All evaluation received will be monitored and this will help us to continually improve our courses. A final, overall evaluation activity will be done during one of the last session of the course.
- How do I find out if I can get some support for my learning? - We can offer education and careers advice, through an external provider. For financial and childcare support, disability support, support for Deaf and hearing-impaired students, dyslexia support, and English and Maths support, contact us.
- When I've finished, what course can I do next? - There are various paths you can progress into. You can either start volunteering as a presenter, researcher or technical assistant or you can progress to further education or training via a different provider. We invite an IAG adviser in one of the sessions of the course to discuss possible progression and you can always discuss what your options are with your tutor.
